FIRST AID RESPONSE RECERTIFICATION

The aim of this First Aid Responder course is to help learners update their knowledge and skills to provide first aid for a person who becomes suddenly unwell or injured until the arrival of emergency medical services.

Suitable for anyone who has previously completed First Aid Response and has a current valid First Aid Response certificate.  A copy of your current certificate will be requested to confirm the expiry date.

​

Company and onsite training available throughout Ireland. Funding available for Sole Traders and Private Companies. Additional discounts may be available for group bookings, educational organisations and not for profit organisations.

On-site training is available for businesses and group bookings. Full PPE will be supplied. Please contact for more information.

€195 per person including PHECC certificate on successful completion, First Aid Responder handbook, course workbook, First Aid Kit,  2 year update package and full PPE.

Course Overview

Course Objectives:

At the completion of this First Aid Response course learners will be able to:

​

• deal with life threatening or potentially life threatening conditions in the pre-hospital environment until arrival of emergency medical services.
• provide First Aid Response for conditions not thought to be life-threatening but are necessary to prevent further harm before the emergency medical services arrive.
• provide pre-hospital First Aid Response in a wide range of environments including home and recreational settings.
• display the requisite personal skills including composure, competence and self-confidence while understanding their limitations.
• recognise and be able to cope with the additional challenges provided by “Special Circumstances” for which additional training must be completed

Course duration: 

12 Hours teaching delivered over two days or more days.

Classes are available consisting of one day via video conferencing, live with an instructor, with one day of practical classroom training. The one day of online training is also available over 2 evenings. 2 days of training on-site is also available.

 

Learners will be assessed on five FAR skills including CPR. A multiple choice 20 question test must also be passed.

Certification:

Phoenix Safety Solutions are affiliated with Qualtec. Qualtec are a PHECC Approved Training Institution (ATI). On successful completion of the course, participants will receive a First Aid Response certification which will be valid for two years. These qualifications are the only ones formally recognised by the HSE, HSA and Tusla.

​
